Tim Hortons vs. everything else

Written by admin on October 13th, 2009

Thanks to Alex Sanna for getting me up and running on the trainer today with the proper axel for my bike. Cheers.

ALSO – Alex lost, and found his cat today, a cause for celebration – the beer has been purchased for the future – probably Friday (don’t tell Chris)

Back to the training, today consisted of an hour and a half on kurts brilliant machine, if you are looking at buying a ‘trainer’ a.k.a. doomsday device, torture machine, and pro churner, seriously consider Kurt’s Kinetic “MACHINE”(you are actually the machine thats going to get abused) www.kurtkinetic.com/road-machine (I tried to link that to the model I train on but nope.) of course if you are a pro, and reading this, go for the pro machine. – I never run out of good advice,

Today I turned to sociology to get me through the hour-long ride, chapter one is DONE! Yeah I know im behind, its week 4 and im on chapter one, unimportant, it is getting done, and so is riding, double green lights as far as im concerned.

However not – interesting reading sociology is, it got me through tonight, I setup the trainer for one of the first indoor rides this season, and an hour and a half flew by like a math lecture would fly through my brain, thank you to Tim Hortons for providing me with some energy.

Its bad that the nearest Timmies is on campus, but this could be a good thing because now that I read about other cyclists and hear them talking, their tastes exceed good old Tim’s and they prefer the “café” where they can go and enjoy their lattes, to each his own, but what I need is some caffeine 8 dollar latté versus a 2 dolla black coffee. We know what wins, all that café business is alright but if I need a cup of jo im not getting on my bike and riding to Stratford

to get to our favorite pit stop. (it would help all of us if I could remember the name of the damn thing)

Ill blame the worn down legs for that sudden lapse of memory and the yelling and screaming from a game of NHL 09 going on downstairs, that I’ll probably get involved in right about now.

Cheers to the first* ride on the trainer this year, and for Alex’s beast of a cat coming home.
Oh yeah, and Rylea… goodnight, sleep well
